units shall not exceed radiated emission (RE102) limits for ground applications (Navy fixed and AF)
over a range of 2 megahertz (Mh) to 400 Mh. When specified (see 6.2), type II refrigeration units
shall not exceed conducted emission (CE102) limits.
3.5.5 Storage conditions. The refrigeration units shall remain operable after storage in
temperatures of minus 650 F to plus 1550F.
3.5.6 Noise level. The noise levels at personnel "operator's" and "servicing" positions shall not
damage personnel hearing.
3.5.7 Corrosion resistance. The refrigeration units shall operate after exposure to a salt fog
atmosphere.
3.6 Interface requirements. The refrigeration units shall be designed for use with prefabricated
refrigerators (NSN 4110-00-731-3247) (see 6.1) and shall have overall dimensions no greater than
those shown on figure 1.
4. VERIFICATION
4.1 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as
follows:
a. First article inspection (see 4.1.1)
b. Conformance inspection (see 4.1.2)
4.1.1 First article inspection. When a first article inspection is required (see 3.1 and 6.2), a sample
shall be examined for all the verifications listed in table I.
