2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 Design and construction. The icemaker-dispenser shall be a completely self-contained unit, capable of making and storing ice and dispensing ice and water. The icemaker-dispenser shall have a water circulating system, electric motor, and all necessary piping, wiring, and control and safety devices. The icemaker-dispenser shall be totally enclosed in a structural frame and sheet metal housing with removable panels.
2.1.1 Exterior. The exterior of the grade A icemaker-dispenser shall be fabricated of 300 series stainless steel with a thickness of 24 gauge (minimum). The exterior of the grade B icemaker-dispenser shall be fabricated of low carbon steel with a thickness of 22 gauge (minimum). The exterior of the grade B icemaker-dispenser shall have the manufacturer’s standard commercial finish, provided it conforms to NSF International Standard No. 12, as applicable.
2.1.2 Cooling condenser. The type I icemaker-dispenser shall be provided with an air-cooled condenser; and the type II icemaker-dispenser shall be provided with a water-cooled condenser.
2.1.3 Capacities. The icemaker-dispenser shall have the icemaking capacity listed in table I, under the conditions specified in table I.

2.1.4 Legs. The floor style icemaker-dispenser shall be mounted on NSF International No.12 approved six inch legs. The counter style icemaker-dispenser shall be mounted on NSF International No.12 approved four to six inch legs.
