3.4.5 Storage conditions . The refrigeration units shall remain

3.4.6 Noise level . The noise levels at personnel "operator's"
and "servicing" positions shall not damage personnel hearing.
3.4.7 Corrosion resistance . The refrigeration units shall
operate after exposure to a salt fog atmosphere.
3.4.8 Grounding for shipboard use . When type II units are
procured for Navy shipboard use (see 6.2), provisions shall be
made to permanently ground and bond all interior and exterior metal
sheathing and the frame of the motor to a grounding rod.
3.5 Interface and interoperability requirements . The
refrigeration units shall be designed for use with 150-cubic foot
refrigerators (see 6.1) and shall have overall dimensions no
greater than those shown on figure 1.
4.
VERIFICATION
4.1 Classification of inspections . The inspection requirements
specified herein are classified as follows:
a.
First article inspection (see 4.1.1)
b.
Conformance inspection (see 4.1.2)
4.1.1 First article inspection . When a first article inspection
is required (see 3.1 and 6.2), a sample shall be examined for all
the verifications listed in table I.
