Dimensions. The ice cream cabinets shall not exceed the maximum dimensions specified in table I.

TABLE I.

Refrigeration system.

The refrigeration system and component parts shall be completely installed and connected to make a fully automatic, self-contained, mechanically cooled ice cream cabinet. The refrigeration system shall consist of an electric motor driven air-cooled condensing unit, evaporator, and necessary accessories including controls, motor starters, and protectors, all constructed and mounted to prevent vibration.

Condensing unit shall be designed for 120 volts, 60 hertz, single phase. The use of transformers to obtain the motor voltage or frequency is prohibited. Where transformers are required as part of the control system they shall be furnished and installed as part of the cabinet. The ice cream cabinet shall be equipped with an adjustable thermostat to maintain storage compartment temperatures between -10⁰F in any ambient between 50⁰F and 100⁰F. The assembled refrigeration system shall be completely dehydrated and fully charged with refrigerant and oil.

Standard of compliance.

The ice cream cabinets shall comply with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Standard No. 471 and National Sanitation Foundation Standard No. 1.

Marking. The units shall be legibly marked with the manufacturer’s name or trademark and model or part number plus the contract number and National Stock Number.

Cerification. The contractor shall certify that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this description, conforms to the producer‘s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same as the product sold in the commercial marketplace. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under provisions of the contract.
