4.1.2 Export packaging and packing. Each ice making machine shall be packaged and packed in accordance with the level A packaging and packing requirements of MIL-R-3593.
4.2 Marking (commercial and export). Marking of unit packs and shipping containers shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129.
5. NOTES
5.1 Intended use. The ice making machine is intended to be used in dining facilities, hospitals, and other military installations.
5.2 Acquisition Requirements. Acquisition documents must specify the following:
a. Title, number, and date of this document.
b. Type, size, and grade of ice making machine require (see 1.1).
c. When ice storage bin capacity is other than specified (see 2.1.2).
d. When electrical characteristics other than specified are required, the contracting officer shall provide voltage, phase and other necessary requirements to facilitate operation and installation (see 2.8).
e. Type of electrical connection required (see 2.8.1).
f. When an ice crushing mechanism is required (see 2.10).
g. The Government approved manual number is to be included on the data name plate when manuals are purchased under the contract (see 2.11).
h. Selection of the applicable levels of packaging and packing required (see 4.1).
