PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION
REFRIGERATION UNITS, MECHANICAL, PANEL MOUNTED, 10,000 BTU
FOR
REFRIGERATOR, PREFABRICATED, PANEL TYPE
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This document covers two types of panel mounted, mechanical, refrigeration units
having a capacity of 10,000 British thermal units (Btu) per hour and used with the prefabricated,
panel type refrigerator (see 6.1).
1.2 Classification. The refrigeration units shall be of the following types as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Diesel Engine Driven
Type II - Electric Motor Driven
2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS
2.1 General. The documents listed in this section are specified in sections 3 and 4 of this
specification. This section does not include documents cited in other sections of this specification or
Beneficial comments (recommendations, additions, deletions) and any pertinent data which may
be of use in improving this document should be addressed to: Commander, U.S. Army Natick
Research, Development, and Engineering Center, Natick, MA 01760-5018 by using the
Standardization Document Improvement Proposal (DD Form 1426) appearing at the end of this
